HYBRID ROUTE (TRADITIONAL + ALTERNATE)
Many Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) programs allow you to complete certification requirements while you teach and also pursue a master's degree. Such programs schedule classes in the late afternoon, evening, and online. Not all graduate programs offer this option, and each has its own requirements. Following a route like this is a hybrid because you mix elements of a traditional route (degree program) with an alternate route (teaching while completing remaining certification requirements).
