WHY INTERN?
Internships help you explore a career in teaching through an engaged, authentic experience. All Pre-Teaching internships are officially recognized through the Center for Career Discovery and Development. All official internships are:
- are eligible for audit credit hours (no tuition or fees) if you officially register your internship
- serve as academic placeholders towards full-time status (for example, 6 audit credit hours + 6 academic hours = full time) if you officially register your internship
- are eligible for transcript designation if you officially register your internship
- may be paid or unpaid

El Centro Cultural Peruano Norteamericano (El Cultural), a binational cultural center focused on bridging the relationsihp between Peru and the united States, has post-baccalaureate opportunities to teach English. New Horizons (Dominican Republic) - fall and spring internships (on hold due to COVID)
Undergraduate students interested in fall or spring internships should contact Susan Belmonte, GT Pre-Teaching Advisor, at sbelmonte@gatech.edu no later than September 15 if you wish to intern in the upcoming spring semester and no later than March 15 if you wish to intern in the upcoming fall semester.
